Vintage Camillus No. 27 Electrician's Knife – New York USA – Pre-Owned
Description
A classic American electrician's pocket knife from Camillus Cutlery, this vintage Model 27 features the traditional two-tool electrician configuration with a utility cutting blade and locking screwdriver/wire-working blade.
The main blade carries the distinctive CAMILLUS / NEW YORK tang marking, with 27 stamped on the reverse identifying the Camillus model. Collector examples document this same No. 27 marking and the blade-release instructions found on the electrician's tool.
This example features smooth brown synthetic handle scales, metal bolsters, brass liners and a large folding bail. The screwdriver blade retains its faint “CENTER LOCK TO RELEASE” marking.
Unlike a conventional two-blade slipjoint, the screwdriver/utility blade incorporates a locking mechanism intended to keep the tool secure during use. The center portion of the knife is pressed to release it.
This is a genuine vintage working knife showing considerable evidence of previous carry and use. The photographs show the actual knife being offered.

This knife shows clear evidence of previous working use. Both tools have scratches, fine surface marks, scattered oxidation/patina and evidence of previous sharpening. The main cutting blade retains a good overall profile and an intact point.
The screwdriver/utility blade shows scratches and discoloration from use, while its original CENTER LOCK TO RELEASE marking remains partially visible.
The brown handle scales show normal scratches, scuffs and age-related discoloration but appear complete, with no obvious major cracks or missing sections visible in the supplied photographs. The bolsters, brass liners and exposed metal components show additional scratches, tarnish and patina consistent with an older working knife.
The large folding bail is present and intact.
