Description

Designed by custom knifemaker Rick Hinderer, the Kershaw Cryo became one of Kershaw's popular compact everyday utility folders.

This 1555BLKST version features an all-black finish with a partially serrated 8Cr13MoV stainless-steel blade and stainless-steel handle. Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted-opening system allows the blade to be deployed using either the flipper or thumb stud, while the stainless-steel frame lock incorporates a Hinderer lockbar stabilizer. The four-position pocket clip allows multiple carry configurations.

This example is pre-owned and has been carried and used. It includes the aftermarket black paracord lanyard and metal beads shown in the photographs.

Kershaw's 2017 catalog confirms the standard Cryo dimensions and construction: 2.75-inch 8Cr13MoV blade, 3.75-inch closed length, 6.5-inch overall length and 4.1-ounce weight.

This knife shows noticeable evidence of previous carry and use. The black blade finish has scratches and areas of finish loss, particularly along the cutting edge and toward the tip. The edge appears to have been previously sharpened. The stainless-steel handle and pocket clip have scratches and cosmetic wear consistent with carry.

The blade tip remains intact, and the factory markings remain clear and legible.
